How to Find WPS Pin for Printer? (Step-by-Step Guide)

There are only two ways to find the WPS pin for printers.

  • By using the printer’s display panel.
  • By printing a Network Configuration page.

Using Display Panel to Find WPS PIN

Finding WPS PIN for printers with display panel is really easy. (my favorite method too😌)

  • You just have to go to Wireless settings using the touch screen.
  • Then, see inside the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) menu. The PIN will be there.
  • This works for every printer models and manufacturers out there.
  • Not a difficult job, right?😉

Printing a Network Configuration Page to Find WPS PIN

This is the standard method to find the WPS PIN for any printer.

But the thing is the step to print the network configuration page widely varies across printer model/manufacturers.

  • First, go to your printer manufacturer’s website and download the user manual.
  • Open the manual (you’ll get a PDF file) and search for the keyword “PIN”.
  • See the steps to print the WPS PIN and follow it.
  • For instance, here’s the information about it on my HP printer’s user manual.

Pro Tip: You Don’t Need to Enter WPS PIN to Add Printer to Your Computer

Yes, it is possible. Simply turn off Wi-Fi Direct feature on your printer and the window asking for WPS pin will disappear from your computer screen.

  • To do that, press the Wi-Fi Direct button on the printer and it will do the job.
  • If you can’t locate the button, please consult the user manual.

Well, that’s all about finding WPS PIN for printers. Please comment down your printer model if you are having any trouble. I will quickly look into it and reply to you🙂
