Have you ever copied a document only to find that it looks way too smaller for the paper size inserted on your printer?
Say no more, with an HP printer, you can adjust the size of the copy, increasing it by up to 400%.
Here are the three methods I often use to enlarge copy on my HP printers.
- Touch screen method (for touch screen printers)
- Physical button method (for printers with Up and Down buttons)
- HP Printer Assistant tool method (for any printer)
Now without further delay, let me show you detailed steps for all of ‘em.
Touch Screen Method
This method is particularly for you if you have touch screen printers.
- First, insert your document on the scanner bed and close the lid.
- Then, choose Copy option on the touch screen of your printer.
- Click Options button on the bottom-left corner.
- On the next screen, tap Reduce/Enlarge.
- Proceed with the Manual option.
- Type the enlarging percentage here.
- For example, entering 200 will enlarge the document size by two times, 400 will enlarge by four times and so on.
- Press this button to hide the keyboard.
- Click Done.
- Touch the area as shown in the image below.
- Finally, Copy it. That’s all.
Physical Button Method
This method works for all the printers that have a specialized Up and Down buttons. Like this,
- Insert the document and close the lid.
- Then, press this button. You will see 00 on the LCD display.
- Press the same button again. You will see 1.0 on the LCD display.
- After that, press the Up button. Now you will see 1.1 on the LCD display. It means your copy will enlarge by 10%.
- Press it two times > you will see 1.2 and your copy will enlarge by 20%.
- Similarly, press it five times and it will enlarge by 50% and so on.
- Once you are done, press this button to start the copy. That’s all. Easy-peasy, right?
HP Printer Assistant Tool Method
Here comes the last method.
Thanks to HP, you can use this method to enlarge copy on any model of HP printer.
The only thing is you should have the printer driver correctly installed on your computer, which I believe you have already done.
- Insert the document and close the lid.
- Launch the HP Printer Assistant tool on your computer. You may use the desktop icon or Windows search box to locate it.
- Once you open the tool, choose Scan.
- Scan a Document or Photo.
- Choose Save as PDF > click Scan.
- Wait until you see the small preview of the scanned document in top-left corner. Double-click it.
- Modify the size of the highlighted area to fit your needs.
- For example, if you reduce the area to half of its current size, your document will appear 50% larger compared to its original dimensions.
- Click Save.
- Open the PDF file you just saved and print it.
Well, that’s all for today. Feel free to reach out if you need any help.
